New 2011 Ford Diesel
I'm not trying to start a brand war here but thought some might find these head to head challenges of interest. Yes I know, this is an advertisment but still, I was impressed. I might have to rethink going back to a diesel a couple years down the road if this new motor turns out to be the real deal when it comes to a lack of problems and great mileage.

Re: New 2011 Ford Diesel
Four Wheeler magazine did a write up on the 2011 Ford Super Duty this month and I must say it is an impressive truck. The 6.7L diesel churns out 390hp and 735 ft-lbs of torque and has a six speed transmission. They claimed to get 22 mpg while cruising. If this is the case i will definitely be looking at one of these when my current 2500HD is worn out but that will be several years down the road. I just hope Ford can settle on a reliable diesel engine. They keep changing engines too often and that is why I went with chevy.

Hi Guys! I am not trying to starting a brand war but thought I might put my 2cents in. I have a 2002 Duramax, CC , it's only two wheel drive. I get great mileage. I have kept the fuel records since new and always fill up to the point I can touch the fuel with my finger, it's that exact. Anyhow I get 23mpg hwy solo , 19 around town and 13 towing my Cat(29rlbs). These milages ofcourse vary slightly but this is normally what I get. Like I said I have done this since new and have counted for every drop. I now have 50,000 on the truck and so far have been pleased. I am glad you like your truck. I am sure it is very nice too! Enjoy! Duke..
