Re: Hot Water Heater
When we start our showers we just turn the gas on to the water heater. The gas is quicker than electric so it does a pretty good job of keeping up. We have an Oxygenics shower head ordered which is supposed to use less water so that shoud also be a help to extend the hot water usage.

Same as KH. Fire up the gas when it's shower time. Be conservative with the water (turn off between "latherings") and you should be fine. Not sure what size we have in ours, but our old TT was only 6 gallon and never ran out there either...as long as the gas was going.

We have only the 6 gal. in ours. Just have to turn it off and on. I wouldn't just let the water run with a 10 gal. either. Especially if you are on a site without sewer. You would fill up pretty quick.
Using gas and electric together seems to have a real quick recovery. We too turn off the gas part after showers. Just use the campground power.

If our 6 gal unit ever dies, we'll upgrade to a 10 for sure. We generally have HU's so filling the tanks isn't an issue. A little extra soaking time in the shower would sure be a treat!
