Installing Satellite Radio Receiver
Good Morning. I was wondering if anyone has installed a satellite radio in their Wildcat? I'd like to install my spare docking station so I can take the Sirius Sportster out of the car and put it in the camper when we camp. I was wondering specifically how you may have installed the antenna? Did you mount to the roof? Where did you penetrate the ceiling, how did you run power, etc.....
Thanks!
Jon

I have a plug and play Sirius receiver in our 32qbbs. I ran the antenna wire out around the entertainment door glass. The antenna has a suction cup mount that i mount to the bedroom slide, depending on our location depends on its placement.
It works well for us.

Re: Installing Satellite Radio Receiver
Jon,
We have an XM receiver that I installed in a home docking station. The docking station is on the middle shelf just under the TV and hooked into Input 2 on the Concertone. Since we are semi-permanantly hooked up here at Asheville East KOA, I ran the antenna wire out under the rubber flap at the dining room end of the big slide and up to the roof were the antenna is velcroed to the top of the blackwater vent pipe. The antenna does a fine job of picking up the satellite signal from that aspect. We now get ten times as much use out of the XM. Love the "Roadhouse".

I mounted mine to the side wall of the entertainment center next to the concertone. I put a 12v plug there also and hooked it to the concertone. For the antenna, I pulled things apart and ran it with the existing antenna for the concertone. I mounted it to the roof with that dicor putty when I remounted the concertone antenna. Works great.

I mounted my Sirius radio to the entertainment cabinet and hard wired it (no cigarette adapter). I ran the antenna up the interior wall and used the bathroom vent to access the roof cavity to hide all the wiring. Then I drilled through the roof and just used silicon to adhere the antenna to the rubber roof since it's obviously not metallic.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Lots of ideas to think about. I should have done this in the winter when I wasn't distracted by yard work and washing/waxing the Cat!
