My First Digital Video!!
I thought I would share this on here. I posted the link under my "Road Trip!!" topic, but wasn't sure if anyone would find it.
Just to set the stage - My wife and I recently moved the kids from ND to WA. We left the pickup and camper back in ND to retrieve it at a later date (along with our pet hamster PeeWee!!). Well, easter weekend 2010 I went back to get it. Took my relatively new Digital Camcorder and produced my first video with my new software.
Hope to add a few more camping videos here this summer!!!
Thanks!!

Thanks! I was about to pull over in Butte, MT and trade that 6.0 in for a Duramax!!! All and all though that truck did what it had to do and it did it pretty well. Of course the camper wasn't loaded down and it was only me and dad in the truck. Putting some water and gear on that load would make it very interesting!

Re: My First Digital Video!!
TC, if you have a digital video camera with a usb plug, yea , its easy. But you need small video's, less than 5 min. any more than that and it takes forever to upload even on high speed connections.
I use a " Flip " video, the first model. and it does great. They have a HD model out now that I'm gonna get soon. You can even personalize the outside cover when you order one.
these vids from pirate land resort are with the Flip, awesome little vid cam that fits in your shirt pocket.

Re: My First Digital Video!!
I will second Admin. Easy to do, but takes time and increases exponentially as the length of the video increases. Mine was a 5min 1080p full HD video, took about half hour to upload and another hour or 2 to process on the site. Also, my daughter has a Flip Camera, very sleek and easy to use!!! Very "plug and play" friendly. I steal it from her on occasion when I dont' want to be loaded down with my camera.

Cool video, great job on the editing and the choice of music.....
Having completed a few videos myself, I appreciate the work that goes into them.....along with the frustration..

Re: My First Digital Video!!
Thanks Flyer! It was fun, but a good 7hrs on a 5min video!!! :) worth every minute of it though. I do need to update my computer to handle the rigors of HD video though and it will go a LOT better!!
