I have been told by a "sticker" company not to use any wax on the decals. That being said, I waxed the nose stickers for years before I was told this and I see no difference in the nose and sides now.

Good, then I guess I'll do try it.

Thanks

The New Finish site states that it should not be used on vinyl ( see insert from their website below ). They do have a product called Nu Vinyl which should be o.k.. I have done a good bit of research on this topic and have ended up using 303 Protectant on the entire outside of the unit. I do wax the front cap being careful not to get wax on the decals. I apply the 303 to them after I am finished waxing. It doesn't last as long as wax but it goes on pretty quick so I apply it a few times a year. I also use on the tires. It is one of the few products out there that some of the tire manufacturers recommend.

What surfaces shouldn't I polish with Nu Finish?

We always recommend that you first try Nu Finish on an inconspicuous area, even if you are polishing your car.

Do not use Nu Finish Car Polish on vinyl, plastic trim, simulated wood, rubber or flat paint. Also, do not use Nu Finish on areas like tile floors and bathtubs. It makes the surfaces extremely slippery and could cause injury to others.

I have always used Meguiars wax, I was told that the factory decals are not as porous as after market decals. Like I have said I have waxed both the Cat and our truck and never had any issues with the decals. ? may have to look into this some more.
