Checked out nearby Corps Lake Campgrounds
The wife is here visiting my humble apartment in Radcliff, KY (next to Ft. Knox) for a few days. We took a drive yesterday to a couple of Corps of Engineers lakes to check out the campgrounds. Temps have been in the 70s to low 80s since she arrived and it sure feels like camping season to me. To my surprise only one of three campgrounds was open at all and the number of campers was small. It seems they won't open until into May. Sheesh! What's up with that?
I'm scheming to get the WC down here by early May. I can store in on post for $25/month if I pay by the quarter. The biggest question is how much will it cost to get it picked up from my FILs machine shed 2 hours from the RV service folks I use and then the work I want accomplished. I plan to drive home on a Friday to retrun here on a Sunday after the work is done. Then the camping can begin!
