Cold Water Burst Gone

Post by scottz on 4/3/2010, 8:44 am

I finally got rid of the shocking burst of cold water from the shower when using the shower head pause switch. The first thing I did was put a backflow preventer in the hot water line; this did nothing. Before the last trip I replaced the shower head with this one from Camco. I bought it at Camping World for about $15. I know others have replaced their shower head without solving the problem, but this one works. If it didn't, my next project was to replace the valve unit.

I put the same shower head on two years ago and it sure did improve the water flow. I would recommend that improvement.

Somewhere I posted I did the same thing. My cold water burst disappeared too. I tried the Camco head because we didn't care for the Oxygenics one.
