New RV pad
Not really a "do it yourself" mod or a mod to the WC, but a mod all the same. I'm pretty pumped to be adding an RV Pad next to our new home. Figured I'd add some pictures. I'll add the final pictures once I get the WC and Fence in place. I knew this group of people would probably find this as interesting as me!!

Re: New RV pad
that is cool, are you gonna come straight in over the curb or put some kinda ramp onto the curb or hook it in there from the side ?

Re: New RV pad
Nice pad. Are you going to run 30 or 50 amp electric to the camper?
I am getting ready to have a driveway and pad put in for our 5th wheel. I moved to a house without an HOA so I could park the camper there all the time. I am using 8" CR for the driveway and will have it make a wide 180 degree turn so I won't have to back in. My cousin has a landscape business and will do the work. I will have him use pavers to create a parking pad for the camper that will tie back into the existing driveway.

Very nice!! How many "big wheel" tracks did you get in that nice concrete?

Looks great, we have found its nice to have the Cat at home, makes it a lot easer to work on and to get ready for camping. I know you will enjoy the new set up.

I got my cover put up but have yet to put in the cement and electrical. I had Wilson Construction put up an 18'x40' cover with 14' ceiling height. The 32QBBS fits with a few feet to spare fore and aft and I can leave the slides out. Next on the list is to cement the inside and add lighting and a 30 amp plug.

No bigwheel tracks, suprisingly!! hahahahah I spent most of the day outside with the kids so they wouldn't be tempted, usually I'll let them have their fair share of alone outside time, but not when there's wet cement down!! :)
Going to get a 30a electrical outlet wired in the next week or 2. Electrical box is right there, so shouldn't be to pricey. Also going to look at putting in a sewer dump as there appears to be access to the sewer in our crawl space. Would require some digging and could be $$. Next option is a macerator with a good long hose!
Hey Admin, I see you're from Milledgville, GA. What's the local word on a certain Steelers QB down there?? hahahhaa

Alls kinda Hush hush, I've heard so many different versions of the story its crazy. I would imagine she's gonna get paid on the side and it will disappear. ?
Now if I could get the owner of Texas motor speedway to pay me 100,000 $ to change my name for a year to TexasMotorSpeedway.com I'd be getting somewhere. I guess the DJ was gonna do it, I can't see anybody turning that down.

Re: New RV pad
Guess I never answered your question either admin. Can't see it in the picture, but to the right is a cul de sac turn around. my plan is to turn around in there and back the camper up through the driveway and hook 'er into the parking pad. If not backing over the curb is an option too, just lay down a couple 2x6's I have in the garage. Either or, should be easy to get it in there @ 11' wide!!

Color me
.
Wish we could have a poured pad, but we live in a hilly part of town. They'd have to excavate our side yard down to the level of the driveway (approx 6 feet). If I lived on flat ground, I'd do the same thing, including the 30 A service in a heatbeat!
If push comes to shove, go over to your local sheet metal shop and have them make some portable curb ramps that you can put down in front of the curb, then take up and store when you're done with them. If they use heavy gauge catwalk grate Vs solid steel, it won't be too bad price-wise or weight-wise. Might end up being a good "one time" investment so you don't HAVE TO fight with the angle of the driveway. That's my FWIW.

Re: New RV pad
TC - We had the same issue @ our old house in ND. Would have cost a pretty penny to have concrete poured due to a retaining wall and excavation. That's what makes this one extra special for us!
Here's an updated picture with the WC backed in!! After my 2 day trip from ND (see my road trip post) all I wanted to do was back this puppy in. BUT concrete wasn't fully cured. Had to wait a couple days. Looks pretty good if I do say so myself!!

It looks great! Someday we'll get a pad and a driveway for our Cat. We've got plenty of room..... just hate to part with the $$.

Scuffy and Tater is better to enjoy the $$ at our age then let it stay in the bank. I sure wish I had that pad at my house. With only a 50 ft wide yard I am very limited. I do have a 50/30/20 Amp service on the side of the house.

Re: New RV pad
I am with Rhino, enjoy your $$$ now, for what I lost in the market I could have had a new pad, Cat and truck. Not going to let that happen again. A friend of our said he hopes to be over drawn when he dies.
