Identify this photo
First topic message reminder :
Let's try something fun. Everyone is going to be heading out camping soon, I thought we could post photos and have people guess where they are. Here's the ground rules (this is a work in progress, so expect changes):
1. I'll post one photo (or multiple photos of one location) at a time. After it is identified, we can start over with a new one. I'll start us off with this one; after it is identified someone else can post another photo.
2. The photo must have a unique characteristic so it can be identified. A photos of a camp site in the pines is nice, but it has to have something unique to identify it from all the other camp site photos.
3. Once a photo is identified, we will start again.

Art Cars in the Heartland
The nation’s mid-section bursts with public art from Dallas’ Nasher Sculpture Center to the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, where 10 cars are each half-buried front-end-first in the dusty landscape.

Re: Identify this photo
Almost a tie, Tom and Frank.
We've never walked all the way out to the cars, so don't know their condition. But, I'd say they don't have much rust. Periodically someone goes out there and paints them a charcoal gray - probably rust-inhibiting primer. Then tourists put on another coat or two of their own artwork. We might be heading west and the cars are all gray, then on the return trip, they are well on their way to getting very colorful again.
Get your kicks on Route 66.
Another photo, someone?

Man, I didn't have a clue where that one was. It did look a bit like my brother-in-laws driveway, that's the way his wife parks cars.

Meteor Crater. Located off I-40 at exit 233, 35 miles east of Flagstaff, 20 miles west of Winslow, in Arizona, USA. Also I cheated. I used the internet to find it.

Apparently a fire fighter, but other than that, no clue. Not really unique; all the cats look the same.
