Identify this photo

First topic message reminder :

Let's try something fun. Everyone is going to be heading out camping soon, I thought we could post photos and have people guess where they are. Here's the ground rules (this is a work in progress, so expect changes):

1. I'll post one photo (or multiple photos of one location) at a time. After it is identified, we can start over with a new one. I'll start us off with this one; after it is identified someone else can post another photo.

2. The photo must have a unique characteristic so it can be identified. A photos of a camp site in the pines is nice, but it has to have something unique to identify it from all the other camp site photos.

3. Once a photo is identified, we will start again.

By looking at what I found on the Internet that picture is called the "FAT MAN's SQUEEZE"

That is the beautiful new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, TX. Next door to the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor.

Cowboys Stadium is the location for the 2011 Super Bowl.

Yes, the rides at the top of the Stratosphere are absolutely crazy. I'd have a heart attack riding one of them.

Just a guess from the clues.

That is correct but the town is Mt Airy, NC.
Only the scene that was filmed in the area was Andy and Opie walking to go fishing. That was filmed close to Pilot Mountain Located on I-77 which was the picture that I posted. They changed the name on the TV program to Mount Pilot for the county seat.
In Mt. Airy they have an old jail house and store and police car ride {1962, 1963 & 1964 police cars} tour around Mt Airy

Actually I know where it is, I just can't remember the name of the place.

Ok, hint time. It is on the west coast. Northern CA or Southern OR.

I know the answer... don't want to tell, though. Maybe if no one gets it in another day or so. I found it on google. I have a clue that would be a big help, maybe I'll give that before I give the answer. Maybe Scott is thinking of using the same clue. I'll just wait.
