Storage Compartment Door Seals
Where can I find the seals that go on the frame for the basement storage compartment doors? Mine have started to pull away around the corners of the frame and started to let rain in the trash can compartment.

Re: Storage Compartment Door Seals
Thanks but if I'm going to change to a different seal I would actually like to look at it before I purchased it to make for sure it would work. Wouldn't want to buy something and the seal be to thick or not thick enough.
Has anyone replace theirs???

Re: Storage Compartment Door Seals
Ive been having trouble with the seal around the entertainment door since we bought the camper new. I never remembered to get it fixed while under warranty.
Ive never had water leak in, but the top left corner was streached to tight durring instillation and does not stick or stay in the corner.
I would be intrested in new seal for that also.

The material is just sticky-back door insulation that can be purchased at Home-Depot or Lowes. Probably won't find it in white but gray can do just as well. The product comes in rolls of different lengths and widths, and probably cheaper to buy than the OEM stuff that the manufacturers use.

Re: Storage Compartment Door Seals
I did a project at home over the winter and used some weatherstripping that I purchased at Lowes. It is white epdm rubber manufactured by Frost King. The weatherstripping that I have is 3/8" wide x 5/16" thick but they have several other widths and thicknesses. I checked out my compartment doors and feel this size should be a good fit. Since it's epdm it should not shrink an pull away from the corners like the vinyl does and it should stay more pliable in colder temperatures. The only door that I have an issue with right now is my trash can compartment door so I'm going to change the weatherstripping on that door for now.

My Cat is only 3 months old and the seals around the storage compartment doors are cracking and pulling away. My unit most likely sat at the dealership for close to a year before I bought it but still it seems the seals should be in better shape. I like the weather stripping idea KHUBER.

Mine is just pulling away at the corners and only on my trash can compartment right now. I am sure the existing seals are vinyl which can shrink. I think the epdm should do the trick.
