Remote control for your Landing gear

Post by Admin on 3/26/2010, 7:06 am

came across this site looking at landing gear access.

a remote control for your landing gear. I wasn't sold on it until I looked at the top of their webpage and saw what 5th wheel brand they had hooked to the truck....

If that thing works good, that ain't a bad price for a neat little Mod.

Sorry another question, on the Level Ease, if you disconnect the battery do you lose the memory setting. Like over the winter or when you switch the batteries off when the 5th wheel is in the back yard waiting for the next camping trip?

My voice activated remote thinks she'd rather be a magician. So as soon as I stop the truck she does her favorite routine,
" the vanishing act " then as soon as I release the king pin, Boom, she reappears. I've told her I was gonna put her in vegas. clapper

That sucks, both the Zaxis and LevelEase are for electric landing gear only. I'd buy otherwise! Gets old geting in and out of the truck to adjust the pin height when hitching up by yourself.

I was thinking someone had to have a remote you could wire into the Hydro switch itself for up and down. That seems like it would be pretty simple. ?

Hey...I have one of those also. Except the volume control is broken. Seems to be stuck on high.

I have air bags with in-cab controls so i can go up roughy 4", but when i'm looking back and need that extra inch or so, i just hit the button, but it only works if the 5er is higher than the hitch, which seems to be all the time.

Sure do and love it. You might want to call Westhavers if you want to buy one, the last time I talked to Wes (last fall), they were going out of business.
This is from their web-site:

"We would like to thank all of our customers for their support over the years. Unfortunately, with the current weak economic conditions and the resulting down-turn in the RV industry we are forced to close the doors of our business."
