Re: 15" tires
Towmaster ST225-75R-15, D-rated on my 29RLBS. Same tires and valves that the Cat came equipped with. Gonna change them out this season for E rated. Still looking at whether to go with 15" or 16" rims and radials. But definitely going to go with metal valves.
BTW, these tires have almost 40K miles on them. Can't complain at all about the service I've gotten out of them.

I don't believe they make a load range E with 15" sizing. I think you'll find E and higher with 16" or larger tires. 16" load range E should be about 3420 lbs depending on the brand.

Re: 15" tires
Just found out that I can't change to 16" rims. Bolt pattern on the older Wildcats was 4 3/4 not 5 or 5.5. They don't make 16" rims in any thing under a 5" pattern. So I am not a happy Camper. Just ordered the only 15" tires that have a load rating E Carlise. We will soon find out how trust worthy they are. *&)&*^&^%$$&&) and all that. Have thought about it, well there are enough dealers between here and where ever should be able to run the crap out of these. Looked at Master Trac have one as a spare, not well constructed. Well now that I have Vented Hope to see everybody down the road. Enjoy the new and up coming season. Many miles to go.

Re: 15" tires
I stand corrected! I checked out the Maxxis tire spec and there's only a 290 lb increase from D to E in the 15" wheel. Going from a 15" D tire to a 16" E tire will give you 880 more lbs. If you have room for 16" wheels and tires, I'd go for them. Upgrading 15" from D to E and needing new wheels for the higher pressure/weight would probalby cost about the same. But if you don't have room for 16's than the 290 lb increase per tire is still better than the factory D's.

A more expensive option would be install new brake drums with the bolt pattern you need.

Jim,
Did you install new center caps on those wheels? If so, where'd you get them? My factory caps are chrome and they're rusting already. Mine are like yours but mine have a plastic cap on the end for the grease gun hole.

Re: 15" tires
Earl,
When we purchased our Cat it was slightly used and one year old. The chrome center caps and lug nuts were pretty rusty so the first thing I did was purchase new stainless steel center caps and lug nuts. I have the easy lube bearings so mine have the plastic plug on the end. It really cleaned things up. I purchased at www.lowcosttrailersupplies.com. I have the HiSpec Type 5 wheels which may be different then yours. You'll just need to know your center cap OD.
