I want to camp w/ Mark
The photo is killing me Phillip!! I can't stand seeing it and not being there. We weren't planning on Colorado again until next year, but that may have to change.
Thanks for the photo Mark.

That photo certainly does make a person yearn for the Mountains. We haven't decided whether we will go to Colorado this year or Yellowstone.

Thank you Jetskier, Tahoe / Carson Valley is our favorite spot in the whole country (so far).

Yep, Marks photo would be one of my favorites.
The cat scene on front just blends in perfect with the mountain view.
We're headed to chattanooga,tn for the weekend and my little girl talked me into getting hotel with a indoor pool. So we're staying at the Chattanooga choo choo hotel - with a indoor pool.
It was a bummer that none of the campgrounds around there had a indoor pool. I was ready to take the cat out. Next planned camping trip is in May, maybe a little overnighter inbetween somewhere hopefully.

We stayed at Cloudland Canyon State Park a couple years ago when we visited Chattanooga. Very nice park, but sorry, no indoor pool. They do have a waterfall. Make sure you hit the Aquarium, it is one of the better ones, if not the best, we've been to. Enjoy the trip.

Richard If you can't decided whether to go to Colorado or Yellowstone do both. We go our to Yellowstone in the fall ( Sept love to watch and photograph the wildlife ) as we swing back towards Iowa ( or in your case Mo ) you can make the turn to Estes Park, not that far out of your way. So enjoy the best of 2 worlds !!!!!

You know I hadn't really thought about that. Perhaps we will do a Colorado trip and then head up to Yellowstone. It's been a while since we've been to Grand Tetons/Yellowstone (2004) so we're overdue.
In 2004, when we left Yellowstone it was the second week of September and after departing the campground it started snowing. We planned on leaving via the east side of the park and because of construction on the road leading to that exit, the road was only open for two hours every morning.
Oh yeah baby, we were driving on a shoulderless two lane mountain road that was hard packed dirt/mud and even more narrow because of construction, we're heading downhill, it's snowing, and wait, here comes two tour busses in the opposite direction. There was some serious praying on that part of the trip my friends.

Re: I want to camp w/ Mark
Richard, Had something like that happen to us too. We were in Utah(southern) I looked a map and there was a short cut, I thought, so off we go. When we get closer to the mountain range DW said most have a tunnel, or how are we going to get over that mountain. We get closer our GPS shows the strangest red line I have ever seen. Road starts out paved then to dirt with some gravel, most curves single lane and blind and we meet a guy coming down pulling a boat. The road was posted not trailers and looked like road equipment had just reopened the road. Needless to say DW reminds me every time I want to take a shortcut.
