TV Compartment Size

Post by cummins2500hd on 3/21/2010, 12:43 pm

We are in the need of a new TV in our 2007 30LSBS.

I do not have immediate access to our camper and was curious if anyone new what the width was of the compartment?

Our Cat is a 2007 24rl, I would think the cabinet would be the same, 22" tall x 27" wide. We have a Vizio VA26l HDTV10T which is 19 1/4 high x 25 1/2 wide. I made a wood base for the TV to set on and used mirror brackets to hold the base and TV strap on the back. I also relocated the power out let and cable plate.

Another mod I did with the TV cab. was to make a pull out pantry, on the right side. I changed the depth of the TV cab to 7", also put a tissue holder in the bathroom. This was accomplished by making the following changes to the existing cab. I put two false walls in the entertainment center. I wanted to make the pull-out pantry and to do that I had to work around the two vent pipes that go up that wall. So I first fitted a 1/2 inch plywood to the back wall, I knew I wanted to install the tissue holder and I was not sure the bath wall would support it. Next I spaced the inside wall for the pantry with a 2x4 frame, which assured me I would have enough room for the tissue holder and also clear the forward vent pipe. I mounted another 1/2 ply, to make the inside wall of the pantry. The pull-out is 6 3/4 wide ( the space between the two vent pipes), next a 3/4 ply for the wall behind the TV. You may have to find out where the vent pipes run in your unit, I did this by taking the TV cable cover off and measured both direction to know how much room I had to work with. Hope this helps.( If you click on the thumbnail you see a larger photo )

I have a 08 30 LSBS and have been able to put a 32" Samsung in mine. Hope this will help a little.

Yeah, I got a measurement and it is about 34" wide and 24" high.

Do you like your 32" fit? How does it look from outside?

Yes, our unit is a west coast model and the water heater is located to the left of the drawer.

I have a 30RLBS and the stereo is right next to the TV. Right hand side. The shelves U have are part of the TV area. We have a West Coast also. I was suprised at the small things thay advertised and did not install when made. Out trailer was made on Saturday using students from Oregon State that were still drunk from the night before.
