Don't disown me
Well, due to recent issues with the Cat's wall and the fact that I can't stand to have any money in my bank account, we ordered a new unit yesterday. We ordered a 32FWS Cameo. It will be ready by the end of April. We went with Debra @ Tiara RV in Elkhart due to the price. They got down to the same price my local dealer wanted for a Cedar Creek that we were very interested in. They also are giving me the same trade-in price as my local dealer. If anybody is wondering a 2004 27rl is worth $12,300 retail (they are giving me $12), so I am happy with the price.
We didn't go with another Cat for a couple of reasons; no gen prep, no separate slide out controls / valves, and the one we really liked (31TS) had a lack of counter space. We have been very happy with the Cat and the wife is already talking about how she is going to miss it and maybe we should back out of the new one. I am looking very forward to the Big Foot Leveling system that comes standard on the Cameos.
I hope you guys / girls will still let me ask / answer questions on here. The first thing I do every morning is check this site for new posts.

Thanks!!! Phillip, I sure am glad I answered another post this morning, or else I would have fallen short.
TC, I will gladly let you gander at that massive slide when you come down to see the diamonds, they found another giant over the weekend. Seems like the news said it was 6 carrotts.
That slide was one of the major selling points. It is a narrow slide, but the length of the coach.

Hi Brad,
Well, as Keith said, once a friend, always a friend. Thanks for all your input and mods and suggestions.
I'm sure a Cameo forum exists, but it can't be as good as ours.

Thanks all, I don't feel near as guilty now!!! Although, when I'm out in the barn, I think the Cat knows what's up and is getting ready to pounce on me!!!

Brad,
With a tongue weight of 2200#, is your 2500 going to be able to handle that much weight?

Re: Don't disown me
We are supposed to pick it up in the end of April sometime, still do not have an exact date.
As far as the weight, I was a little concerned about it, but got to looking around and all the Cameo's I see are being pulled by the same truck I have. I would prefer a dually, if for no other reason than more stability, but can't afford one right now. When I haul hay, I am well over 2200 on the tongue of the 30' gooseneck trailer. I have the airbags to keep things level. I hauled this load just over 100 miles through the Ozark mountains. Ramses (the truck) loved it.

Re: Don't disown me
The Cameo is built and ready for me to pick it up. Due to my schedule, I will have to wait until the 27th to head up to Elkhart to pick it up. I'm not sure I can wait that long..... Here are some pics the dealer sent me. Phillip, if you need the server space, please delete them since they are not Wildcat.

This pic is not of my exact camper, but it shows the massive slide

I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but be sure to do an extensive PDI before you sign the papers.

Nice cameo.
Putting pic's within the forum doesn't take up space its free to do that.
Its in the Gallery itself that cost to post pic's.
Have fun with your new camper.

Absolutely beautiful!
I love the woodwork and the nice doors leading to the bath and bedroom.
We've looked at several and loved every one of them!

That is actually a very good idea!!! I can just imagine all the questions I would get about where I got a Wildcat with a full wall slide.
I plan on about a 2 hour PDI, is that enough time? When I bought the current one, I didn't know enough to do an inspection, the dealer made me do one and they went through and showed me how to operate every little thing. I lucked out and got a good dealer.
