Seperateing the control on Slideouts

Post by crazymcs on 3/12/2010, 4:03 pm

We just had our new 32QBBS delivered today. Looks great. But i have a question is there a way to have only the livingroom slide go out and not the bedroom slide. Where we have it parked we would like to open the large slide so we can get into the bedroom, but if we hit the button the bedroom slide will hit the fence. I sthere a way to seperate the controls of the 2 slideouts. Thanks for the help in advance.

I have the same issue with my 25RL. We only took delivery today so I asked the service department if there was a way that I could operate one side first. Their answer was not to their knowledge. The slide with the least resistance would be the one to initiate the opening or closing. But if they are wrong I'd certainly like to know from someone on this forum.

This has been discussed previously; the answer was no, it could not be done without major mods to the hydraulic system.

I wonder if a valve could be added to the hdy line that goes to the slide that you do not what to open.

If there was a way to lock the bed slide in the closed position, so that it couldn't move, the large slide would move out without any modification to the hydraulics.

Is it possible to open one slide with the manual crank.

Got lucky the livingroom slide opens all the way before the bedroom starts to extend. Thanks for the help and the new cat is awesome cant wait to take it out. Little nervous about backing it into my driveway.

Here is a suggestion for backing - works great for us. Scruffy puts his celphone on "speaker" and puts it on the console. I go towards the back of the site with my celphone in hand. We don't use hand signals, I can tell him (without all the neighbors hearing) when to go left, right, pull forward and start again, or whatever. I don't have to be where he can see me, I'm in back where I can see any obstructions that might get in the way. Now, if Scruffy ever tries to back into OUR driveway, I want to be far away. Maybe he can get the neighbor to help.

We were at a campground last summer. A guy came in (alone except for his dogs), pulled a few feet ahead of the site, and backed right in - perfect. He must be a professional driver. Scruffy isn't.
