Wildcat sighting in Michigan!!

Post by 3littlecoasties on 4/26/2008, 4:54 am

The DW was southbound US23 near Standish MI, when she saw a "Cat" heading north Friday. A red truck was pulling the cat. She threw "the sign" out the window, but she didn't think they saw her. Ford

We just came up US23 but didn't go as far as Standish and didn't pull our camper either, we travelled with the mommy mobile.

Saw the same rig today heading north on US23, Red F350 crew cab pulling what appeared to be 2006 32 QBBS maybe? Threw the "sign", I think they waved back.. Ford

Saw 2 older style Cats at Interlochen State Park, talked to one of the owners who was from Grand Rapids. I asked him if he knew about this website and said no. I only wished I printed out those "business cards" that someone here was talking about so I could have handed him one.

Today, I also a brand new cat heading North on US23 just in between Tawas and Oscoda, I threw the "sign" but he didn't see me.

I've got a pretty good list since I've been traveling Northern Michigan for the last ten days so here it goes. July 17 saw wildcat heading south on 131 just south of Kalkaska being towed by red dodge, July 19 saw 2 Wldcats in Traverse city state park, July 20 saw a cat in sleeping bear dunes park being towed by green ford, July 21 saw 2 wildcats at Indfian rive rv and resort talked to both owners neither of them new of the forum they both said they would be checking in to become a member, past at least four cats running north and south on us 27 today Cats running wild in this state. I've got to get with admin to get my stickers so when I pass another cat they can see the cat forum logo. Also India river rv and resort thank everyone for the kind words of there campground on our site they just didn't know who you were so say hi when you stop in next time.

Sunday at 2:15pm traveling south on US 27. Older cat style, maybe 2005. Pulled by a Gray four door chevy. We were checking them out as they passed us and we all waved like crazy with the windows down. There were waving also. Looked for the number stickers but did not see any and we don't have ours as of yet.

Have to agree with you grover, there are alot of "cats" running wild in this state, saw another ( I think it's the same guy from Standish area) coming up here last Friday pulling into Tawas State Park.

I know a few Wildcat dealers near here, RV International World in Bay City, Rose City RV, and can't remember the names but they're located in Houghton Lake and Gaylord.

Make sure to dine at the Bavarian Inn, we make it a ritual to always stop there on our way back to Virginia to have lunch.

There are two other Wildcats here today besides mine. I'm going to go talk to them and tell them about the forum. Hope they show up.

We are at the KOA in Mackinaw City. The rain finally stopped and it looks like a great day ahead. Gotta love free Wi-Fi!
