Gas is already starting to creep up...

Post by TC on 3/8/2010, 12:03 pm

$2.87 p/gal of regular unleaded here in Omaha. That's up .30 in the last three weeks.

Anyone want to guess how high it'll get this year?

According to The Energy Information Administration, they feel gas will hit 3.35 so my guess is diesel will come in about 3.60.; It IS the 800 pound gorilla in the room called "recovery"

Of course it is going up, because we are going to take another long trip this summer. The last trip saw $4.85 diesel in Utah.

Paid $1.12 / litre today here in Vancouver Canada. A litre is very close to a U.S. quart. That would make it approximately $4.30 your dollars, your gallon.

Talked to a customer of the company I work for, he's from Chevron and said that about 4 refineries in the US are closing this year (not Chevron's), and that their production slowed down due to less demand ?!

Yup, it's travel season again, so up go the prices. We were in Baker Ca. two yrs ago, saw 5.19 at a Shell.

gas is going up but with a BP card you can save 5%. I also have a Pentagon Federal credit card that I can use at any pump, its not a lot you save, at $3.00 a gal I save .15 cents a gal.
