Wildcat Critique
Having just purchased a 2010 Wildcat model 25RL we are anxiously waiting to take delivery hopefully next week. This particular model suits us as my driveway will only take a unit no longer than 28' and for under that length this model works well.
There is always something that you don't like and I have two...I wonder how others feel about these?
1. The left side slide (dining room area) is too small and difficult to sit at the free-standing table for anyone who isn't ultra-thin. Forest River should consider adding a couple more inches to this slide for adult comfort. We are having the window treatment shortened to help but it really needs more than just this solution. FYI, although I could lose some weight, the wife and I aren't terribly large people.
2. I'm not excited about the outside graphics and feel it is time for an update and for something other than what they currently display. I won't call it tacky but it doesn't come across as clean and professional as some other RV's I've seen.
Other than these two things we like everything else in the unit especially the Corian countertops and entertainment centre. What are your thoughts?

Welcome to the forum!
Maybe you should remove the booth type seating and add a table and chairs.

Re: Wildcat Critique
I agree with you on the table. I haven't done it yet, but someone here eliminated two chairs and turned the table sideways. Good idea if it's just the two of you.
Our Wildcat is our 7th RV. Everyone of them had some kind of trade off.

Re: Wildcat Critique
Every company has pros and cons to their product. It is in the eye of the consumer and each is different. I have never seen a fiver that is "perfect" for us but many are real nice and can suit us just fine. Wildcat is a midlevel unit. Some high end, 60K units have no graphics and look like a class A pusher. Low end fivers may have real crappy graphics. I personally think the cat graphics are fitting for this unit.
I do agree that the table area is small. This was on my list of changes I would look for in our next fiver. Although might have to go to a 35 foot or so to get it.
I found IMHO that Wildcat is the unit that fits our family the best. I love the options they have and some of the exclusive things they have. I know if we upgrade, I'll never get this amount of storage again. That I'll miss. I probably have as much crap in there as a fulltimer. The "garage" in back seems to have gone by the wayside but I love it. Even if it does take some living space.
Hope you enjoy your new cat.

Re: Wildcat Critique
Wildcat changes their graphics fairly often - every couple years or so. Maybe next year's models will have something different. The current graphic seems kind of "generic" to me. It's hard for me to identify when we're driving down the highways. Scruffy doesn't seem to have a problem with identification.
Oldelmer1 is the one who turned his table sideways and just uses two chairs. We sometimes have people over, and we need all four chairs, so we can't do that. It's a great idea, though. I suppose with the table turned sideways, and not screwed down to the floor, there would be room in the corner to store a couple folding chairs - that would be a good option. The table and two chairs could be secured to the wall with a strap. I think I saw that idea from someone on this forum or one of the other forums I use.

Re: Wildcat Critique
It would be expensive, but you could take the cat to a sign shop that does auto body wraps and have something totally custom done. I've seriously thought about it when the decals on mine start to fade, It could look like a brand new unit, but it ain't cheap.
Big Dave does custom wood work, I wonder if he could come up with the ultimate table design for the Cats .....

Re: Wildcat Critique
Here is what we did, its turned sideways so DW sits on the long side, and I sit on the end. Notice that we store our living room chair between the couch & the table. Only 2 screws hold it on place now.
