looking at a 07 wildcat 32qbbs did a walkaround looking for some of the problems listed in forum. Seems like a good unit, hardly used made in 6/06 they're asking 18500 for it seems like a l good price, anything else to watchout for? Im going back in a couple days to hook it up to power and check appliances and such. Will a forest river dealer be able to check service history if i give them a vin number? thanks

The price sounds good. I don't think you will be able to look up and kind of history on the unit. If you are thinking of CarFax type of report. I nenver heard of a RV Fax report. You will have to check everything prior to purchase.

First...welcome to the group! We're glad you are here.
I would take a close look at the tires. At this point they will need replacing due to age, not mileage. RV dealers are vastly different than auto dealers. I doubt you will find one who is willing to do a lookup for you, also doubt that Forest River would keep that info for more than a year or two. The RV industry has almost no regulations compared to the auto industry.

Welcome to the forum.
Be sure to climb on the roof and take a good look. Some small bubbles are OK, check the caulk around all the vents & the antenna for cracks.
Also, walk around inside with no shoes on to feel for wet floors.
And it you can, crawl around under the camper and look at the U bolts and shackles, and as stated, check the date on the tires and look for cracks in the valve stems.

OK i went out and looked at it again today. tires look good even wear, shackles ok axle u bolts look new. roof had no bubbles but did have some light brown staining in certain areas, possibly from where it was previously stored whole roof felt solid and the top of slides look good one caulk crack about 1/4 inch long less than1/8 wide will fix.felt around on inside no leaks or evidence of leaks. think im gonna get it. was going to add dexter ez flex kit and look at some slideout awnings depending on the price. any other suggestions appreciated thanks folks. hope it treats me well i had to rebuild the front roof and floor of last trailer due to water damage, which was ok cause i got it cheap but i hope not to repeat with this one would rather spend time modding and camping not major repairs.

Play hard ball and low ball the heck out of it. I'd offer 15K, 18,500 for a 07' ---- keep in mind for $6,000 more you can get a 2010 or 2011 for $25,000 brand new unit. Rvwholesalers.com
make the fridge work on gas and elec. you'll have to watch the light for a few minutes and make sure it stays on while in Gas mode. I'd turn it on first thing, and check it at the end of the inspection to see if the gas light is still on.
check the furnace and make sure its actually putting out hot air and not just turning the fan on.
Look at the screws holding the panels on just behind the king pin box. if you were bent over in front of the camper the panel i'm talking about would be above your head. look to see if all those screws are in good shape and not sheared off. Good luck with the purchase and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum. It looks like thay are asking for the low retail price, but definitively offer a little less first.

Re: 2007 32qbbs
Welcome. We bought our cat last year. A 2006. Had a little leak on the top back corner of slide. Caulked and now fine. I do think though I will replace as much caulk as I can this year. Not as much so on the roof but everywhere else.
We did blow out a tire on our first trip. Ours had D tires and I did put E ( 10 ) ply tires. Pulls better too.
We are doing EZ flex, stabilizer, and possibly a pin box change this year for mods. Not sure on exact brands yet.
Hope you enjoy your new Cat. Sounds like a good price

Sounds like a great price. I'm starting to think I was taken to the cleaners when I bought my 2006 32qbbs last summer...
