Blowout! But not ours this time.

Post by Scruffy and Tater on Wed Feb 10, 2010 11:28 am

We were traveling behind a flat bed trailer (a medium sized one) when BANG! I recognized the sound immediately, and my heart stopped beating. Then I saw tire treads flying from the vehicle in front of us, and my heart started beating again. Scruffy saw it blow, and slowed down to avoid the flying debris. It was by an exit, and the driver pulled off. We felt sorry for him, but were happy that this time it wasn't us.

Our tire pressure monitors worked well, we're glad to have them.

I'm glad none of the tire pieces hit your vehicle. Large chunks of tire can cause some serious damage.
Juding from your signature your next trip is to Vegas, are am I wrong? By the way if you hit one of those Royal flushes please let us know.

We had two trips planned for late April and May. Coast to Coast - Home to WDW, back home for a few days, then to California with a "detour" to Las Vegas before returning home. But, alas, it looks like that won't happen.

I have to get implants (teeth), and the healing time and extreme cost will just get in the way of our extended trips. I'm actually hoping that one implant and a bridge will do the trick. Anyway, I have to remember to call the dentist to get this all started.

I put the royal flush in my signature to give me something to smile about. I got that royal flush at a casino in Bossier City, LA a few years ago. Don't get excited though. It was a nickel machine. 25 cents a deal. I got a couple hundred $$ for it.

I'm glad you clarified what type of implants in your post. :)

Sorry to hear about your impending trip to the (shudder) dentist. I break out into a cold sweat just thinking about sitting in a dentist's chair.
