Security for $200 Portable Surge Guard ??
We previously owned a 26' TT with pull out 30amp electric cord. I added the portable surge guard and a hasp cover where it connected to the camper cord. A theif would have to cut the cord to get the surge guard.
Now the Wildcat 31TS has the twist on connector so the 25' (I think) cable can be stored in the basement.
My worry is anyone can walk off with the whole thing by disconecting at the campground box and my camper.
Any thought / suggestions on theft deterrence ??
Thanks

Re: Security for $200 Portable Surge Guard ??
I have one, and try to use it as often as I remember too
I did buy a length of chain that I know will go around it and the power post with a pad lock.
But, I have never used the chain, I do try to have it face into the site, instead of out to the road.
And its hums pretty loud too.

At first I was going to leave a smart a$$ comment but then I thought it might not be a bad idea.......
Head on over to Lowes/Home Depot and get one of the "Danger - High Voltage"
signs and stick it on the cable and/or box.

that would probably back fire Keith, it would only make someone want to go get it more....
I'd keep a new piece of sewer hose to slide over it when in use.
Nobody wants to pick up your sewer hose.
