tired of watching movies, tv question
You guys have solved one problem for me and thanks very much. My next question is I went to wal-mart and bought a new 26" sanyo tv and I can not get my tv antenna to pick up a signal. I really dont want to buy a satilite but I may have too. I have pluged my antenna into both connections behind the tv but i still dont pick up my local channels. any help would be great Bobby

Re: tired of watching movies, tv question
Here's a list of guesses:
1) Did your old TV work?
2) Did you upgrade you antenna to pick up the new digital signals?
3) Have you turned on your antenna booster? It's in different locations in different trailers. For mine it's in the master bedroom next to the fold out TV table. It also has the 12-volt socket. It's a tiny push button.

Unless the RV park has cable hook up your pretty much dependent on local signals. You may have to abandon the camper antenna and buy a nice outdoor type antenna with a booster that you could set up similar to a sat antenna.
Or hook your laptop to the TV and watch shows from Hulu.com
There usually recent from the last couple of days. They also have a huge catalog of movies you've never seen or heard of that are pretty good. Theres documentaries on there also.
You can also find a couple of web sites that stream live TV from the US and UK and other parts of the world. You may have to brush up on your foreign languages though. Most of the big networks have daily programming that you can watch also. CBS you can watch survivor/ soaps etc.... same on other networks. Just have to look around. Just a few other options to ponder. and most are in HD. Keep in mind if you have a Air card for your lap top you can watch TV on the go.

Re: tired of watching movies, tv question
As mentioned you need to turn on the antenna booster to get the over-the-air digital signal to the TV.
You mentioned a new TV, did you have the television scan for available channels? The new digital TV's require that you scan for available channels, a real hassle when traveling and changing locations every day.

Re: tired of watching movies, tv question
Is this a new TV or one that was made before TV's were required to be made digital? I don't think the older kind are allowed to be sold anymore. If it isn't digital, you'll need a digital converter. We have Direct TV at home, and we bring one of our Direct TV receivers with us. If we have a clear view of the southern sky, we have all of our Direct TV channels that we have at home.... except local channels. Scruffy has figured out how to hook us up to both Direct TV and park cable, so we can watch Direct TV for most of our favorite shows, and cable for local weather on the weather channel and local channels..... without having to go outside the trailer to change connections. Our TV is old, so we also have a digital converter in the 'Cat - but we haven't used it.

Re: tired of watching movies, tv question
I have a 26 inch Sanyo. Wish I had gotten a 31 inch.
1. Make sure power antenna booster in on.
2. Make sure cable tv cable is not hooked up. Turn on TV.
3. Manual scan for antenna TV channels.
Works fine, hope it works a long time.
Good Luck.

Re: tired of watching movies, tv question
Have you made the loop with a short piece of cable between the 2 jacks under the TV, in the space directly under where the TV sits??
Mine needs a jumper wire between the 2 jacks to pass signal from the antennae/ cable to the TV....

I have a 2009 32QBBS and the antenna booster is in the forward bunk room. Also my trailer came from my dealer with the jumper that the above poster mentioned. i would try these two things then if nothing still check your TV settings.

Re: tired of watching movies, tv question
You don't need the jumper for the antenna. The jumper just bridges the outside cable connection to the concertone. It's there so you can hook up a satellite receiver and use the outside cable connection to run to your dish. As others have said, the booster needs to be on. Mine is not in the main living area. It is in the bedroom.
Also, you don't need a special antenna for digital. That is the biggest crock of lies. An antenna from 1970 would work for digital.
I'm not sure how the coax cable is routed in the new concertones, but you may have to have it powered on in a TV type mode for the OTA signal to be passed.
Starting at the antenna, the coax goes to the booster switch where it routes the incoming cable signal from outside (booster off) or OTA (when booster is on). Then the coax leaves the switch and enters the input of the Concertone and the built-in analog TV tuner. The output coax of the concertone is based on what the concertone is processing (DVD, TV, or the other A/V inputs 1 & 2). I believe the newer Concertones don't have a TV tuner at all.
I do remember that it seems to pass the signal when the concertone is off, but that may not be the case.

Re: tired of watching movies, tv question
OK. I feel like i am making progress, thanks for all the help. I did find the booster switch in the front bunk room and it was off. I turned it on and pluged the coax cable from the tv to the two connections under the tv area . First the top one and did the channel scan, picked up nothing, unpluged it and tried the bottom one and tried the scan again. still nothing. I turned on the concertone and found the tv mode still nothing. I moved the tv to the front room and pluged in beside the booster switch and hooked up the coax cable to the connection that is beside the booster switch.. did not work there either. there is a connection there also that has a blue cap on it that says do not use. Can anyone tell me what that is for? thanks so much for the replys, I think the process of elimination will work sooner or later.... thanks Bobby

The ZX600 concertone does not include a TV tuner, so you do need the jumper wire.
The Concertone only does DVD, radio, CD, weather.

You need to run a jumper on the two under the TV, then you use the one that is on the wall next to the TV to run to the TV. If you have the ZX600 Concertone, you use the yellow RCA type video feed on the wall to go to your TV.

Wiring diagram for TV
Over look the Black line that I added for the Sat hookup.
There should be one wall plate with 1 coax cable hook up and a second wall plate with 2 coax cable hookups for the TV on the right side under the TV or beside the TV. There should be a wall plate on the left side with 2 hookups for the radio.
If you still can not get the tv to work at the entertainment cabniet, then you have a spliter wired backward or a coax cable that is bad.
