Managing Photos

These are instructions on how to handle a photo so it can be inserted into your topic, signature, or avatar.

Host (save) the photo on a site such as Picasa, Photobucket, Webshots, Serving.com
1. The photo needs to be on your computer.
2. Set up for an account and log onto the site that will host your photo.
3. Upload the photo to the hosting site
4. Once the photo is hosted find the link "image location"; this is what you will copy and paste it into your topic or signature

Inserting a photo into your post
6. Follow the instructions above to host the photo, copy the photo's url (image location) (step 4)
7. Start a new topic or reply
8. Select the “Image” button from the toolbar (green icon, 7th from the right end)
9. Paste (ctl V) the URL copied in step 1 into the box of the pop up window
10. Push “ok”
11. Finish by adding any text you want and push “send”

Inserting a photo into your signature
12. Follow the instructions above to host the photo, copy the photo's url (step 4)
13. Go to your profile
14. Click on the signature tab
15. Place your curser where you want the photo
16. Push the “Image” button, will be inserted
19. Save

Creating your Avitar
20. Follow the instructions above to host the photo, copy the photo's url (step 4)
21. Go to your profile
22. Select the Avitar tab
23. Past your photo’s URL (copied in step 4) into the box that says “Enter the url….”
24. Save

States Visited Maps
25. Go here (http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/)
26. Create your map and save it to your computer
27. Follow the steps above to host the map (photo) and insert it into your signature
