RIP 32QBBS... Welcome 32QBT

Post by North7 on 1/27/2010, 5:01 am

I was at the RV Show in Toronto this past weekend and was speaking to a Wildcat salesman. He informed me that Wildcat is no longer producing the 32QBBS. I was surprised as I had always been told this model was one of their best selling floorplans.

The replacement is called the 32QBT. There are some differences, most notably a 3rd slide for a bunk room closet/storage, a side entry into the bunk room, and the shower and sink enclosed in the bathroom. The rear bedroom and the kitchen/living area have remained virtually the same. I was able to find some pictures and a floor plan here.

There also appears to be a couple of other new models; 31BH2B and 34FLR.

Hopefully, Forest River updates the Wildcat website soon with the new 2010 brochure and floor plans. Wildcat always seems to be behind with their updates.

Didn't know they were discontinuing the 32QBBS. This makes my decision to buy mine even better. I just bought an 09 new at my dealer and will pick it up on Friday. After much searching the 32QBBS floorplan seemed to fit our needs the best.

I know it's not a Wildcat, but it looks like Forest River has a new line of fivers called Blue Ridge. Hope I get a chance to see one at next months camper show.

That 34FLR looks real nice. Any idea of the length?

John, I also noticed the new Blue Ridge line at the RV show... didn't realize it was Forest River. These appeared to be a high end RV. The one thing that sticks with me about these was how huge the front storage compartment was. It was very deep!!

I only stumbled across the 34FLR when I was looking for more info on the 32QBT. All I could find was the floorplan... nobody seemed to have specs for it yet.

The Blue Ridge line is the old Cardinal LE line. Basically a slightly lower model than Cardinal, but still very nice units.

The specs are on the web site: Wildcat 34FLR I think I like it!

I could be losing it, but I looked this morning and I'm sure the site was still displaying the old floor plans!! I see they also have a new "Extra Lite Travel Trailer" line with 5 new floor plans The travel trailer line is long overdue.

Those are some pretty cool layouts. I like the 34fl layout.

The 34 has a lot of wasted floor space. Not very efficient design, but it's nice to see some non-typical layouts.

I agree, but the concept of the entertainment area up front is interesting.

We love our 32QBBS. But I like the way the kid's wardrobe is on a slideout with the 32QBT model. Opens up more floorspace for them to play. The "all enclosed" bathroom has it's +'s and -'s.

The 2010 brochure is now available on the Wildcat website. The pictures of the 34FLR are quite interesting.

Geez I find that annoying. I've had my 32QBBS for 6 months now and some of the changes they did to the 32QBT is what I was wishing the 32QBBS had back then, such as the enclosed shower/bathroom. Wish there was news that a new model was coming especially since its the same model year as my unit. You can never win!!!!

I'm with you, Corey....

I wish I would have all the items that the third generation 2008 32QBBS had. I ordered mine as the old 2008, then it came in with the new front cap and floorplan.

2 weeks later, the newer 2008 came in with optional 16 inch wheels and tires, electric awning, and the Rotoflex pinbox.

We just can't win......

Re: RIP 32QBBS... Welcome 32QBT

Post by dmcathey on 3/12/2010, 6:37 am

We bought the 32QBSS in December and we were going back and forth between that and the 32QBT. (the one we really wanted they quit making - 31QBS I think)
I like that the bathroom was seperate - because it would be less of chance of the boys messing in the bathroom - and more privacy for me. But the QBT was slightly longer and I really did not like the wordrobe slide on the front. Had it been on the other side (like the couger) it might not have bothered me - but I think a slide on the front side of the camper gets in the way.
I wish they would make the bunk house in the rear of the camper...

They do have a model with the bunkhouse in the rear the 31qbsb. We have 3 kids and it works great. Waiting for them to leave so we can change to something like the new 31ts though!!
