I don't have it, nor do I know anyone who does, but their coverage map looks like Verizon's coverage map. And their price for the 5GB is the same as Verizon, although the lower 1GB is $10.00 cheaper than Verizon.

And here is a review on it:

http://gizmodo.com/5139774/lightning-review-autonet-3g-in+car-wi+fi-router

And it costs $400.00 for the router.

And Verizon Air Cards are usually free. And Cisco(old Linksys) sells a router that you put the air card into and make your own Hot Spot. This router sells for about $70.00.

Tater can attest to how good/bad Verizon Broadband service is.

Our ONLY internet access (away or at home) is through our Verizon air card. We've had it almost 3 years. It works in almost every location we've been in - some places better than others. We are at Walt Disney World in Fort Wilderness right now. Our Verizon is medium-to-high strength. We've been in locations where our reception was weak, but not many, and not so weak we couldn't check on a map or get the weather. Our daughter and her husband were so impressed with our Verizon service, they ordered Verizon, and it is their only internet service also.

Scruffy & Tater do you have more than one computer using the service at the same time . We are looking at verizon also but both have laptops and want to be able to use them at the same time without having to buy 2 cards . Thanks Jim

We only have one computer using the service at this time. We're thinking of getting a notebook to use in the truck when we're traveling. Our son says we can set it up somehow so we can use two computers at one time and use the card in either computer. He's a real geek so we trust that he knows what he's talking about. Scruffy is the one who talked with our son about this, so he would know more than me. Maybe I can get my son to send me written instructions how to do it.

Jim&Dianne,

You need something like this:

http://theungeek.wordpress.com/2007/01/08/two-weeks-with-the-linksys-wrt54g3g-st-mobile-broadband-wireless-router/

They make these units to accept either a USB air card, or a PCMCI card.

I was just looking online at Verizon and they offer pre paid broadband.

Here's their info:

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/mobilebroadband/?page=products_prepaidmb

Good part about this, if you go away a week at a time, you can just buy a week's worth of time/bandwidth.

we also use verizon, but it's a hotspot card called mifi 2200. it is the size of a small phone, battery operated. we use for the kids Wii and other devices. works well on the road, dws on the laptop kids use the dsi. the only downside is you have to recharge it. we have been very happy with it, except the bill $66 a month.
