Leaking Big Slide out?

Leaking Big Slide out?
Today we discovered the carpet under our dinette bench was soaking wet. It is the wettest from the center of the big main slide out (between the windows and directly under the center dinette bench) and radiates out to the dinette table and couch respectively. This is the second time this has happened after a very heavy rainstorm. The first time, we were parked during the bulk of the storm, and then drove in the rain. We noticed the wetness at our next campground and assumed it came from the wheel well area where the slide meets the body of the RV and occurred while in transit. But this time, we were completely stationary during the storm, and we have the same issue. Has anyone else had this happen in their Wildcat? Any ideas of where it's coming from? Only the floor is wet, we don't feel or see any moisture on the walls or dripping coming from top to bottom or through the windows.
I've searched through the forums here and haven't seen anything similar. Any ideas would be appreciated. We have a 2005 29BHBP model Wildcat. Thanks!

Re: Leaking Big Slide out?
Chuck,
With the slide out, check EPDM roof over the slide. I found a wear spot on mine (29RLBS) near the front outside corner. It was allowing rainwater to wick down the wall and onto the carpet. Dried out the carpet and fixed the roof with the paint on sealer available at most good RV parts stores. Also, as a preventative, I undercoated the bottom of the slide on that corner and along the joint between the floor and the front and side walls of the slide. Haven't had a problem since.
Luck .....

Re: Leaking Big Slide out?
Have you installed a garage door bottom seal, yet? I had the same issue when driving in the rain and came up with this fix years ago. Check out my link in my signature below in regard to the installation. There are several members who have implemented this fix with success.
Here are some pohotos I posted here as well:

Re: Leaking Big Slide out?
Let me second what shooter posted! I applied the seals on mine and nary a drop. Coming back to Colorado from Kansas, I drove in an all day rain storm that was a true monsoon and the rig was dry as a bone.

Re: Leaking Big Slide out?
Thanks shooter and keith. The mod looks great! We saw it a little while back when we had our first leak and made plans to do it ourselves. Unfortunately, though, as full-timers, we are at the mercy of the rules at the campgrounds we stay at and more and more these days they don't allow any work to be done on site. As soon as we get to a spot that isn't so militant, we'll definitely do it. This time, though, the leak didn't happen while we were moving, so I think something else is in play. My bride thinks it might be that we had to close the slide and move in the middle of the storm (both times) and with the lake of water on the awning when we did, that water might have gotten in somehow. But we still don't know for sure. We're going to check the slide roof under the awning today, and the under slide mod ASAP (sure can't hurt). Thanks for the info and the pics to help. We love this place - so much helpful stuff and people!
