Re: Facebook
I think the apparatus is already made for a ceiling mount. Some motorhomes have a TV that tilts down from the ceiling. I think my brother's MH might have a ceiling mounted TV.
Chris,
What are the dimensions of the rolling island? I'd guess that the width is about 15-16 inches, and the length is probably about 24-30 inches. Am I close?

Re: Facebook
The built-in pantry next to the refrigerator has two large doors that open on the same side as the fridge. Hopefully, we'll have photos of this unit up online soon!
Your local Wildcat dealer is always able to order parts through our parts department, which would include anything you'd need to do your mods (although only current usage sized doors and drawers would be available).
Tater, who is your local dealer? I can't tell you definitively about trade-in values as each dealer makes their own determination based on many variables (age, use, floor plan, NADA listed value, etc.).
I think your last question got cut off...

I'll get some dimensions on it when I'm back in the plant!

I like the island and I think it should be in all WC. I just ordered my WC but have not picked it up yet (I will the wk after Thanksgiving). Can i order the island for my WC 313RE? I would like to have the extra space. It was also something I saw in a different unnamed model and I really liked it.
My son is looking at getting another 5er and I know it is something he likes too. It may just be a deal breaaker if he can't get it. Of course wait until he sees my level up system and that may be the deal breaker for him. lol He had the 31T.
Cherry
Thanks for your input, Cherry! I'll find out what the plan is for offering the island kitchen as an add-on. Right now, it probably would need to be custom ordered through parts...
Let me find out some more details!

Chris,
I don't know who our nearest dealer is - I'll check on-line. When we need repairs we go to a local dealer who does excellent work, but doesn't deal in Wildcats.
Question that got cut off - I'll wait until I can see photos.

If you'd like Tater, I can take pics of this floor plan for you when I go back to Indiana if they have one I can see.

Earl,
That would be great, if you can do that. I'm interested in storage space upstairs and downstairs, but mostly down.

Will do. I just don't know when I'll be picking my unit up. All I can say is it will be before mid April. I believe my unit will go into the shop in December so will be at least January before its done and I told them I didn't need it back till April.

I have another request - being in sales you might have some influence in this. The new brochures don't have much info in them - no weights (except a ship weight), no interior photos, no specs of any kind (except length and height), no list of standard or optional features. Those things were included in the older brochures, and I really miss having it all in one place. I've found some of the info in the website, but that isn't nearly as handy as opening one downloaded brochure - which I can do offline and not use up limited broadband service.
Thanks, if you can help.

Also, if any of you want a physical copy of the brochure, they'll be available very soon at your local Wildcat dealer...

Very good brochure Chris. I have a quick question about the Level-up system. Do you think that a JT-Strongarm (or equivalent) system is needed for extra stability when you have the Level-up?
Thanks

Re: Facebook
I just downloaded the new Wildcat brochure...and I sure liked what I saw. Now that a regular water heater is available, I might be back in the market for a new one. We plan on visiting the factory sometime this winter. My only problem now is that my dealer went out of business, and the nearest dealer is quite a distance away. I don't want to drive long distances to get warranty repairs done. And, as of yet, I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about assembly quality.

The landing gear legs of the Level Up system are slightly angled outward to provide additional stability in the front end where we'd typically see more sway. With 6 jacks on the ground, the Strong Arms aren't needed.

Please send me a private message with your contact information and I'll find you the closest local Forest River approved service center.
Also, please let me know when you'll be in town for a tour -- I'd love to give you one myself!

Re: Facebook
Thanks for the help Chris. I am just spoiled because my original dealer was only 6 miles from me. The next closest dealer is just over an hour away.
I sure will contact you when we will be in the neighborhood. The DW is a manager in the retail field and this time of year any travel is out, so it will be after the first of the year. I am hoping that seeing all the new Wildcats will get her to agree to a new one!

Re: Facebook
Chris,
Very nice brochure. I see a lot of very good features. I appreciate that the kitchens are shown with all of the drawers and cabinets open - it gives a good idea of how much storage they have. Like Avid, I'm glad there is a choice of water heaters.
The island pantry looks to me to be a great addition. I noticed that there are NO floorplans under 30 feet. The shortest is the 272rlx at 30'4" - close enough for us, I guess, but I think there will be a lot of people looking for something shorter who will have to look someplace else to find it.
I was disappointed that there weren't any photos of the 272rlx - that would be the one we might be interested in -- but I trust that when you get some pics, you'll post them here. If there would only be room to install a small electric fireplace below the TV in the 272rlx......

There is a more limited feature set based on cost and weight. For instance, La-Z-Boys are both expensive and heavy, so they are not available in the eXtraLite line. Same would be true for Corian countertops. You can option in some items (like a hide-a-bed sofa or free-standing table and chairs), but not every option that is available on a Wildcat or Sterling Edition. The eXtraLite line is aimed towards customers looking for a fully loaded coach at a great price and weight combination.
