I'm under Dave Zimerman. It will be a pick of an old man and a young hot chick leaning over my shoulder. Don't let my wife know.
Probably going to be quicker to just post a link to your page.

Just checked in on this and it says it's going to be archived?
FACEBOOK wrote:This group is scheduled to be archived
Over the next few months, Facebook will be archiving all groups created using the old groups format. When this group is archived, its wall posts, photos and discussion threads will move to the new groups format, but group members will need to be re-added.
I think it needs to be updated to the new format to continue on.

Re: Facebook
Well, I won't be seeing any of you on facebook, because I refuse to join. I value my privacy. Already from just this thread I know the first and last names of several of you. Also your locations.
I hope facebook doesn't eliminate the need for this forum.... or that you guys start using facebook instead of this forum. It would really be a shame.

I was just trying to be helpful since it said it was going to archived and all current group members would be removed...
I don't think Facebook will ever be able to replace forums like this. It's kind of like the difference between watching TV and having a conversation...

Re: Facebook
Yep, I think facebook is OK, I use it everyday, but its mostly to communicate with friends / family, people here local. It can get clustered quickly because you start getting remarks from other people that are friends of friends of friends.

I'm glad that Wildcat has a facebook page and that Wildcat Chris visits our forums. It's a sign that customer service is improving. Years ago, my wife and I wrote a letter to Wildcat making a couple of suggestions and we didn't get as much as a "thanks for writing" from Wildcat.

I started a facebook acct so I could keep up on what was going on in our boy's lives. Now I have people I haven't seen or spoken to in over 30 years wanting to be "friends" with me. Must'a made a huge impact on them way back when.
BTW, I still don't know what's going on in our boy's lives, cuz when they do post on facebook, it's all cryptic and probably meant to be understood only by their inner circle of friends.

Re: Facebook
Giving out names and addresses on the internet is giving identity thieves too much info. Are you saying I'm not friendly because I want to keep my identity unknown? I've given that info in PMs and e-mails where it is not seen by everyone, but I won't blatantly display it over the net. Never heard the expression "country friendly" - not even down on the farm.
I don't need to have names and addresses of forum members - nicknames are plenty... and the other members of forums that I use interact very well with whatever nickname I choose.
My daughter was a victim of identity theft. She went through heck getting all that stuff straightened out. I'll do what I have to do to avoid that.
And, for your information - I am a VERY friendly person.

Tater,
Understand your concerns. It is possible to control who can see your information on Facebook to only those you accept as Friends. You can allow some information to be seen by Friends Only, Friends of Friends, or Everyone. My settings are all Friends Only except for my Pens Photo Album which I have set to Everyone.

Re: Facebook
Not worried about name. U can have it. Never said I would give my address out on Facebook. Mine is hidden on Facebook and every bodies should be. Phone number is hidden as everyone should be. By the way your name and address are out there already. See the trash mail. Identity theft takes more than a name. Since my name is already out there on the wire. Post it.

Re: Facebook
Identity theft is a very scary reality; one I hope my wife and I NEVER experience.
With technology advancing so quickly, and technical prowess on the increase, there's no way to know for sure what's safe and what's not. IMO, there will always be those with too much time and too many unethical/immoral intentions lurking about on the www.
Needless to say, the internet in general is a dangerous place for the naive.
