Post by Silversides on 1/11/2010, 7:48 pm

Thought it would be interesting to name your top 3 mods that has been done. Mine might go something like this;
#1 Dirt Devil Built-in Vacuum
#2 Oxygenics Hand-held Shower
#3 Maxx Air Vents
Otherwise the 'Cat' has been a great trailer!

1. Changed bedroom door from swinging type to sliding pocket door. The orig design caused the door to always be in the way.
2. Added 120V light sconces to both sides of couch.
3. Installed new compartment on outside of TT to store sewer hose fittings.

Coming in close to those was the installation of shocks.

We were lucky our 5th came with dual batteries ,the Equaflex suspension and the bedroom door was a pocket slide. A close third would be the sewer holder under the belly. Next mods will be the Demco-Ride and a shut-off for the batteries.

Hey, this is fun ~ can I play again?

Replaced all faucets with nice residential units.
Replaced rear bumper with 4" square x 3/8's thick steel and reinforced it so the bike carrier wont tear it off (again).
Installed thermostatically controlled fantastic fans in the bedroom and kitchen.

I could go on and on!

That's the same reason we put a receiver on the WC, the bumper mounted bike rack on our previous TT broke the bumper a couple times.

Post by gkeager on 1/15/2010, 1:46 am

Gee, where does one start? Always something to tweak to the owners preferences. I'm have an interest in:
1. Equa-flex ride
2. Battery shut-off
3. Durable "city water" and etc caps.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1. Insulate all basement doors with blue board.
2. Close off "clothes chute"
3. Blocking materials reductions (it's a stretch to call these a mod, but it's all I've got so far) clown

Laughing It was too early for me too! It's two things: two squares of alternatly stacked 2X4s for under the rear stabilizers (replaced pieces of solid 6X6 blocks), and also 8 short pieces of 2X8 with 45 deg. miters on each end with a open box to carry them (replaced much longer and heavier 2 x 8s) I saved at least 50 lbs in the bed of the TV, maybe 75 lbs with these changes.

Other evidence of it being too early is that I forgot about upgrading to 16 inch wheels and Class E tires along with adding Trail Air EZ Flex with wet bolts.

Here is a photo of the leveling blocks.

One of the stacks for the rear stabilizers.
