RV Insurance
I heard around here that since I've got my 5th Wheel hooked up to my Dually, I don't need insurance for my RV since if anything happens to either my truck or the 5th Wheel, my auto insurance covers RV's in this situation.
Is this true or not?
Thank
Dennis

Re: RV Insurance
Depends on your policy. Best bet is to call them and ask. In my case that is true, only because the same company insures my truck and Wildcat.

Re: RV Insurance
You still need insurance for the Wildcat for those times when you're not hooked up to the truck, i.e. at campgrounds or storage lots. You also want to make sure any insurance you have covers the contents of the trailer.

Re: RV Insurance
That is not the case with my accident several years ago. Jack knife the truck and bumper pull travel trailer. Totaled the Travel trailer and several $k damage to truck. One company covered the truck and the other cover the trailer.

Re: RV Insurance
comprehensive and collision are separate for the trailer and tow vehicle
property damage and liability are on the tow vehicle.
That's what I have.
