Electric Heat Switch for Seats

Post by Rhino on 1/2/2010, 3:36 pm

I been having problem with the switch on the drivers door that controls the seat memories and electric heat strip for the seats. The switch will come on by itselfs and go from hi to low and back to hi and low. I don't even have to turn the switch on for this to happen. I have a GMC 2006, SLT, d-max. Did anyone ever have this type of problem before or should I just take the door panel off and change out the switch. Any suggestions.

Ken, I think I would try going to dealer and have them check and see if there any bullitin out on it. Even if its out of warranty, they might be able to steer you in right direction before you start changing parts out.
Just a thought!

Bill thanks and I just got out of warranty two months ago. Only have 50K on the truck and the 5 years is what got me.
