Enroute to NC

Post by schrowang on 12/31/2009, 10:24 am

We are stuffing the last of the stuff into the Cat for our trip south. Staying at KOA's in Pine Grove, PA and Wytheville, VA. Because we're enroute to our next Workamper posting, KOA gives us vouchers to stay at KOA's along the way. It's a nice perk.

We leave on Monday morning and we'll be back to work next week-end.

Well, except for our clothes and a few refrigerated items, we are packed and ready to go. Interesting, when I went out to the Cat yesterday morning to turn on the heat the Hunter Thermostat just said "LO". It didn't change until it got to 30*F in the trailer. BTW it was 15 out.

YIKES

Stayed in Pine Grove, PA last night and Wytheville, VA tonight. Burning a prodigious amount of propane, even with the electric heaters going. Man has it been cold on the way down.

BTW, probably not many of you with the Hunter thermostat have had the opportunity to see it say "LO".

That means that the temp fell below 30*F in the trailer. Of course we've also seen the opposite "HI" when the temp has gone above 99*F.

Ah, the camping life. Gotta' love it. Anyway, a bad day camping is better than a good day doing anything else.

Outta' here .....

Arrived safely yesterday afternoon. Very cold here in the mountains of western NC. I'm told that the 5-days of below freezing temps are an all time record setter.

Global what?

Hi Mike,

Glad to hear you both made it safe and sound.

Since you are in a CG, please do me a favor, I am making a new 20 amp extension cord, and I cant remember, on the 20amp outlet on the power post, is the ground at the top of the outlet, or the bottom?

THANKS MIKE!!!!
