How Much Snow?

Post by schrowang on 12/19/2009, 5:44 am

First topic message reminder :

OK all you East Coasters, its bragging rights time. Looks like this massive storm dumped some extraordinary amounts from western NC/eastern TN to most of MA. They're calling it the storm of the century in the western mountains of NC.

Ring in with where you are and how many inches you got. PIX will help!

have you found out what happen to the snowblower?

Yes, just got it back yesterday, the old Gravely blowers, made in 1968, didn't have shear pins. there is a conglomeration of washers on the right hand side that put pressure on the augers to make them turn.

So, all he did was tighten up the nut on the right side and its works just like new, so he said. No snow yet to test it out, but expecting a storm Thursday night into Friday & Saturday. OH LUCKY US!!!!!

Not an East Coaster, so won't mention that we are getting snow again in the D/FW area.

Glad I didn't mention it. It all melted.

Tom,

A very nice cape; farmer's porch, 2-car garage, 2-story el and a nice storage place for the Cat. Have you installed 30A power yet for the Cat?

Mike,

Yes, a 30AMP was the first think I did, although I usually use a short extension cord to plug it in when I'm just charging the battery every couple of weeks.

The garage footprint is larger than the house, its 30 x 40 where the house is 26 x 35. We've had 5 cars in it at 1 time. Although its not tall enough for the CAT.

Took my snowblower in to the repair shop, so I can get it back before it snows again. He said he'll call me Monday and let know how bad it is. There is no snow for the next week or so, I hope.
