New to Forum

Post by MountainMan on 12/15/2009, 1:11 pm

Hello all.

Nice place you guys have here.

My wife and I just purchased a 2010 29RLBS. Its our second 5'er but first time buying new. We looked around at many makes/models and decided for our intended use the 29RLBS was a good fit for us. We were able to get a great deal buying in winter (Its cold here in WV.) Around the 15 degree mark on Saturday morning when we finalized the deal!

We were actually looking for used models in the year model 2007 and up. I never dreamed, for a couple thousand more, we would find exactly what we were looking for in a brand new 2010 model.

When we started our search back in the summer we wanted light weight, 30' or under with two slides. Our main use will be long weekend get-aways to the mountains of our beautiful state. Nothing better to me than mountain streams full of wild trout and smallmouth bass. We have several state parks we love to visit. Most have only a few dedicated sites for large rigs but plenty of sites for 30' and under. Many times the access roads are steep, tight and twisty. The 29RLBS fits the bill.

Hopefully we'll have a few week-long trips to out of state destinations as well. Wife loves the beach as much as I love the mountains. I enjoy it too. We're thinking of visiting the outer banks of NC this spring/summer and hopefully upstate NY as well.

Hope I can contribute something useful to the forum.

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will love your 29 RLBS as much as we do. If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask.

Has the dealer winterized the camper?

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I will set up my signature with our info. Great idea to keep from repeating yourself over and over.

The dealer has already winterized our unit and gave us a complete walk-thru explaining how everything works. We already knew most of it but learned a few things.

It will most likely be late Feb. before we actually get to use it. Thats the bad part of buying in winter I guess.

I'll get some pics up of our TV and new 5er.
