FIRST TRIP IN THE WILDCAT
Took a 3 day trip to the coast to get away and check and make sure things work on the Cat. Just a few little things have been noted to have the dealer fix. However, I did have a little bigger problem after getting home and dumping the tanks. I found that the gate valve for the black tank was not sealing properly and allowing waste to drain down to the sewer cap. So you can imagine the surprise I had when I took off the cover to attach the sewer hose.
So I plan on towing the Cat back to the dealer with my list of for him to fix next week sometime.
I will post some pictures here of our trip as soon as I download them to the computer.

Re: FIRST TRIP IN THE WILDCAT
Sorry to hear about the mess that was waiting for you when you uncapped the waste hook-up.
Thankfully that's one that I've never had to deal with in any of the three 5'ers I've owned.
But, the trip looked like a winner and you pix were really great. Sure, sure ..... rub it in to us poor New Englanders that are experiencing the annual battle with cold, ice and snow.

Re: FIRST TRIP IN THE WILDCAT
I knew I was going to hear it from you east coasters
With all of the tanks enclosed I cant even see the gate valve, just the cable that supposed to open/close it.
I first thought I had the handles (push/pull) open but that was not the case after I tested it three times...

Re: FIRST TRIP IN THE WILDCAT
I'm sitting here in Pa, boy can I picture me there.
Glad you had a good trip, always some minor problems and adjustments with a new unit. Should not be to hard of a fix.
What is the name of the campground. We are planning a trip to the west coast in August.

The name of the park is called Doran Park its a Sonoma County Park. Its located in Bodega Bay Ca. Just google Bodega Bay Camp Grounds or Doran Beach and this one will come up. There is also a State Park called Bodega Dunes its nice also. Recommend both of them.

Re: FIRST TRIP IN THE WILDCAT
Very nice shots!! Thank you.
As far as the valve goes, mine "leaks" some occasionally if I do not almost pound the valve shut after I dump. Luckily it has always just leaked down a heavy concentration of the blue stuff first so that it does its job.
