Beavers Bend SP, Broken Bow, OK
We got to use our favorite site at Beavers Bend this weekend, #19. Actually, there was a total of 5 campers including us in the whole campground. Everybody else headed out early Sunday, so we had the whole place to ourselves yesterday!! They have raised the rates and we are not sure we will be back anytime soon because of it. The river sites are $25 and the other sites are $20. I can understand these rates in the summer when they are busy, but not this time of year.
Here are some pics. Bonnie is 6 months now and she truly loves to camp. She got to chase deer and squirrels. Yesterday morning, I think she smelled a bear while I was walking her, she got very upset and kept barking while pulling me back the way we had come from.

We had lots of ducks and every morning there was a very nice eagle setting in the tree behind the camper. Only problem was that he was an early riser and he had a very loud voice!!

Looks nice. We've never camped there before - I think we should.

Sounds like a good time and compared to here it is cheap. Love seeing Eagles in the wild, they are one fantastic sight.
