Good Sam Road Service

Good Sam Road Service
When we left WDW Campground a month back, we had to fill up one of our tires (boy am I glad that I bought the Viair compressor). Got home no problem. Noticed last week that the same tire was down. Decided to call Good Sam to change the tire because my broken leg doesn't help me much. Took three hours to show up. The "Road Service" showed up in a 10-15 yr old faded Toyota. He took a look and told me how glad he was that he stopped at the store on the way to buy a jack. He was a nice enough guy, but forget the pictures that Good Sam shows you.
I took the wheel to the shop that I had bought the tires at (Denton's) about six months ago after I had a blowout with damage like Scruffy & Tater had. They called me back and told me that the tire was good, but the factory rim had a pinhole in it. I opted to buy a new rim instead of getting the old one fixed. Just in time. We shove off next week to visit my brother in Buda, TX.

Glad you caught it now!! Maybe Good Sams is contracting out to the lowest bidder. I suspect if you were on the side of the interstate, things would have been better.

Maybe so but we live three miles from an exit on I-4. They probably are going to the lowest bidder.

Re: Good Sam Road Service
Bob,
Probably lowest bidder. Maybe the fact that your Cat was home they put it on a lower priority list. We've had fast service from Good Sam ERS for our flats and blowouts, but that might be because with the blowouts we were on the side of a busy Interstate, and with the flats we were in campgrounds, trying to get back on the road.
The two flats in campgrounds were both caused by cracks in the OEM rims.
Have a good visit with your brother.
