Cat in the Snow Photo
What a surprise, to see our Cat in the snow on the forum! The photo was taken on 10/10/09 our first snow. We were camping at Lake Ahquabi State Park near Indianola, Iowa. The snow was gone the same day by noon, but we are being hit hard as I write this note. Looks to be a longggg winter. Think SUMMER!!!!!! Think CAMPING!!!!!

Re: Cat in the Snow Photo
We've got quite a few members who seem to find themselves camping in the snow. Down in Ga I doubt I'll get a chance for that.
We're due for a good snowing though.

Got 8"+ here in Windham, NH. The Cat looks like a giant white mushroom. Gotta take a pix tomorrow when the sun comes out.
Outta here .....
Ooops, forgot to put the plow on the truck, it's snowing in here.

We had 2 hours of rain after the snow fell.
Cat now looks like a deflated Macy's parade balloon. Not worth the pix.

Good thing we didn't get the freezing temps last night, or we might be looking at the same situation we were in last year at this time (ice storm). I don't want to re visit that again.

Jim,
I remember it well. We lost our power for 7 days and felt blessed that it was only that long. TTL for a gas fireplace insert, our 10,000W generator and a couple of kerosene heaters. A hundred years would be too soon.
