Question on the operation of the two slides??????
First topic message reminder :
Ok just picked up our 28RKBS today. To operate the slides there is just one togle switch and when you push open the bedroom opens first then the galley slide opens. Is there a simple way to have the galley open first and then I can stop it and keep the bedroom from opening?
The reason I am asking is when the trailer is on the side of the house my fence is very near the left front side of the trailer, so opening the bedroom slide would be almost impossible due the fence being there. I have plenty of room for the galley slide to open on the side of the house with no obstructions. So basically if the slide action was able to be reversed with the galley opening first, I could just release the button before the bedroom slide started to open....
I figured someone here might have an answer.
Thanks in advance,

Re: Question on the operation of the two slides??????
I don't know how FR set yours up, but on mine the only way to operate the slide independently would be to install another valve and control switch. In other words, each slide would need to have its own valve and switch. The way mine is set up, there is one valve and one switch that operates both slides. Installing another valve would not be hard, but installing another switch would require pulling additional wires.
As an alternative, if you do not need to actually contol each slide from inside the trailer, you could put a manual valve on one of the hydraulic lines (near the hydraulic pump) going to the slide that you do not want to move. You would close this valve when you did not want the slide to move and then use the interior controls to move the other silde. Manually opening the valve would restore normal operation of both slides.

Our cat has two valves at the pump. I don't know much about hydraulics but was wondering if closing one of the valves wouldn't isolate the slide that you don't want to open? I don't have an issue but just see several others inquiring.

Mine also has two valves. #1 controls both landing gear legs, #2 controls both slides. You'll have to take a close look at the hoses to see how yours is plumbed.
On mine, putting a shut off valve into any line (ie: bedroom slide) would keep that devise from moving. It does not matter whether you put the valve in the extend or retract line; stopping the fluid from moving stops the slide from moving.
