Need holding tank help!

Post by kfarmer on 11/27/2009, 4:07 pm

We just bought a 2010 Wildcat 28RKBS with 2 slides. It has a seperate compartment for the tank valves. There are only two-black and gray valves. The kitchen monitor shows fill lights for black, gray, and galley tanks. The galley light shows the tank is full, but there is no valve to drain it. Any suggestions would be appreciated since the factory is closed for the Holiday and our dealer is useless! Thank you.

My galley tank drain valve is right behind the kit. slide behind a small locked door. If they did not put a door on yours, look on the frame at the same location. Enjoy your 28RKBS, we have a 2010 also and love it.

Dear Lou,
Finally found it! What a horrible place to put a valve and no one tell you about it.. Thanks so much. Our trip south will be much better because of you.
Thanks

Kevin,

Normally there is 1 black tank, and 2 gray tanks. The black is for the toilet(of course) then 1 gray for the shower/bathroom sink, and 1 for the kitchen sink.

You can tell the black cause its a much larger pipe than the grays.

Oh, and your gauge, don't believe it, they usually say full, when they are empty. I usually just dump everyday, that way, if its raining or I forget, I don't have to worry about it. We can go 3 days without having to dump.

BUT, BE SURE TO USE LOTS OF WATER IN THE BLACK TANK. After dumping, I always fill it up to 1/3 on the gauge. The black tank requires plenty of water.

I just bought a 2002 Wildcat 29RLKS and I was looking for a Fresh Water Tank drain. Also a little advice on how to fill the feed lines with antifreeze. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Your fresh water drain should be in the rear next to the overflow hose.

If you need help, your only a few miles away, just ask.....
