PICKUP NEW CAT ON DEC. 5TH.
Well just spoke with the dealer, and were going to take possession on our trailer on 12/05/09. I am having the dealer change out the two 12 volt batteries and replacing them with four 6 volt batteries for $150.00. That will include the four batteries, vented boxes and brackets to secure them to the floor area.
I used 6 volts in are last trailer and got about six years worth of use out of them. I never had luck running the 12 volt batteries seemed to be replacing them about every other year.
As soon as I can I will post some pics of the upgrades once we get it home.

Re: PICKUP NEW CAT ON DEC. 5TH.
It was a great day we were at the RV dealer at 9:30 am and out the door at 2:00 pm with our new 28RKBS this also included installation of the fith wheel hitch. We love it did the PDI and just a couple of things were noted and fixed before leaving. The battery box lids for the 4 6 volt batteries were not in and due in on Monday. So I figure we will get the Cat back to them in the next couple of weeks and finish the battery box lids and LED taillights.
I will have to go and read up on how to upload pictures, be right back with the pics.

Re: PICKUP NEW CAT ON DEC. 5TH.
Hey Bill,
Good photos. Congrats. One note, I have the exact same hitch as you and used to put my breakaway cable where you have it (on the handle to unlock the jaws) but had it snag on the bolts that hold that handle on. With sharp turns back and forth the cable can catch those nuts. Happened to me twice. Really gets your attention quick. I now put it on the handle that makes the hitch slide and it sort of lays flatter on the bed of the truck as that handle is a little lower. Just a thought.

Very good point about looping the breakaway cable around the locking handly. I will change my hook up position.
You have to love this site with all of experience other have had so you can learn from others. I love the been there done that law that is so helpful for us rookies.

Looks great.
Good to see the spare tire carrier holding an E rated 16" wheel. Also good to see the exhaust vents out the rear. On mine(different model) it's on the door side right where we set up a table. Good way to catch a role of paper towels on fire.
