WWII in HD
Anybody been watching that series this week. I was right impressed with it, I think I learned a couple things. Some good personal stories were told.

Re: WWII in HD
I'm glued to this series. I think it's amazing to see it in color for the first time (for me). Some of the quality, while not up to todays standards, is shockingly clear.

I have been watching it all week. Also learned a few things. The best WWII education I ever got was sitting at the kitchen table with my Dad, my FIL, and one of their friends. My Dad fought in Europe, my FIL and his friend in the Pacific. These guys are walking history books, along with stories one will never read about.

Re: WWII in HD
It was amazing to watch it in color. the things that they went through and the hardships that they had to overcome was unimaginable. I like to read books from soldiers that fought in WWII. We owe them a great deal of respect for the sacrifices that they made. God bless all that have served and serving now.

Re: WWII in HD
I was going through some of my mothers papers and found a card my dad had that said Ranger and Combat Training . My father died in 1989 , and like most soldiers of WWII would not talk about the war. My father was in the pacific theater at New Guinea and Luzon .He recieved the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal with 2 bronze star , Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 bronze star , American Theater Campaign medal , Good Conduct medal , and World War 2 Victory Medal . I am trying to find out any thing I can about his service . If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks Jim
