Gray water tank

Post by beartoo on 10/25/2009, 3:46 am

Hi
I just got my 08, 24RL Wildcat home and started looking things over. The salesman said I had 2 gray water tanks and one Black water tank. I would have thought there would be 3 drain valves to open. Should this have 3 valves?

Don't know the specifics on your model, by mine does have 3 valves. The black and bath grey valves are next to each other just above the outlet. The rear kitchen on mine has another valve in the left rear, although it is plumbed to drain into the same main drain.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge about yous will show up soon.

bearto,

From your avitar picture it looks like you have a rear livingroom/center kitchen (maybe a 29RLBS?). Strange that you don't have two gray water valves. On my 29RLBS they are on the road side with one on either side of the black water drain. The one to the left is for the bathroom sink/shower and the one to the right is for the galley. They are pretty far underneath and it's a reach to get to both of them.

Hope you find the one for your gray water tank.

beartoo, We have a 2007 24RL and ours are located on the road side , just ahead of the slide out. If you see the black water drain valve, then there should be to valves right and left of that this would be your gray water tanks.

Hi Bear,
I have a catalog (pdf format) of the 2008 models with the specs in it. I might be wrong, but, the catalog says that your model has a 37 gal. grey water tank. This would suggest that you only have one tank. Like I said, I might be wrong, but the other models state that they have 100 gal. grey tanks.

We have the '08 24RL, mid year model (without the cat eyes) and it has only one grey water tank.

The black stipes on the lower corners of the front of the Wildcat, which were introduced in 2008.
