ready for a trip

ready for a trip
The wife and I were discussing a trip:
Redding via I-5 to Seattle:
Seattle via 90 to Butte Montana:
Butte via 15 to Salt Lake City Utah:
Salt Lake City via 80 to Reno Nevada:
Reno via 36 to Red Bluff Ca.:
Red Bluff via I-5 back to Redding.
We have not set a date yet, and weather will decide when we go. It should take 8 to 10 days, depending on how many side trips.
Does anyone live along this route?
We still have not given up the hope to go to New Zealand in November, but it looks doubtful at this time, due to us not finding a person we are comfortable with that can take care of our dog Luke while we are gone for the three weeks.
So,,, we are going to take shorter trips until the weather out here gets bad.
We also may go to Oceanside RV Park in Charleston Oregon "also depending on weather" some time around Thanksgiving, if we do not go to New Zealand. It rains in Charleston alot in November, but it is so close to us, we can go if we can find a full week of dry weather.

Re: ready for a trip
Yes, our winters are very mild, but our summers are HOT. Every five years or so, we get about one inch of snow. We are due, because we have not had any snow for about five years. Last week was our first storm of the year, lots of wind and rain. We needed the rain, because our lakes are low. Not a drop of rain in June, July or August. We do not need to "winterize" our WC, because it does not get cold enough to cause problems, since we have good insulation, and temperatures seldom get below 32 degrees. The lowest ever, that I can remember in 35 years was 18 degrees above, but that is very very unusual. Normally we will see a low of around 28 degrees in January.
