12V Outlets
We dry camp most of the time and can use more 12V outlets than what FR gave us (1). So, I added a couple to the power cabinet.

Scott,
Nice looking install and a great location too.
What circuit did you wire them too, and if you wired them directly to the 12VDC source did you fuse them?

Re: 12V Outlets
I installed two myself. One just inside the basement door by the
steps and the other just inside the entry door. The fuse, a small
8A which is about 2A over what I expect to load it with, was put inline
about a foot from the power block by the batteries.
I have to admit your install is much neater than mine.

Re: 12V Outlets
Scott,
Good work. Can you give a few instructions? I'd like to have a 12v outlet in the kitchen, but Scruffy has been hesitant to tackle the project.

I put them in the power cabinet so it would be easy. I just ran the wires over to the DC fuse panel and paralleled them with one of the 15A fuses. Can't remember which one, but I think there are two 15A DC circuits for lights; used one of them. So, yes they are fused, but I used an existing fuse. If you did not want to do that, you could tie into the DC before the OEM fuse and install an in-line fuse. In any case, they should be fused.
