Leaving Williams, AZ

Post by Frank L on 10/5/2009, 3:20 pm

Tomorrow we leave Williams AZ for Las Vegas, NV. We have been here for four days and have watched the wildfire on the mountain behind town go from controlled to out of control to under control. Exciting times. In between we have taken the Grand Canyon Railroad to the South Rim and have visited the town of Sedona. What a great place to visit. What wonderful scenery. Todate we have traveled about 2000 miles, starting in Va. The only mishap that we have had was a broken windshield. It was replaced in Amarillo, TX. We have traveled west on I-40 and will return on I-10. Great trip. We've been blessed to be able to see so much of this marvelous country,

What did you think of the train ride? My daughter loved it especially when we got robbed on the way back to Williams.
