Relocting from North Dakota to Washington State!
Hello! New member here looking for any advice!!
My wife was just offered a job in Kennewick, WA - Tri Cities. We have accepted the position contingent on visiting the city. We currently live in Bismarck, ND. I am unemployed and stay @ home daddy with 2 kids (5 and 2). We have a 12yo daughter also.
Looking for ANY advice that anyone may have about the area. Have you driven through there? Do you LIVE there? Do you know anyone who lives/lived there? Or any general info regarding WA state. Taxes, climate, things to do, schools. . . .
VERY excited about the opportunity, but we want to do our research before moving across the country, leaving our family and friends behind.
Thank you in advance!

It's close to the Columbia River. My dad visits there from La Grande, Oregon to go shopping. He goes there or Boise. They have a Costco. I hear about it all the time.
I am not sure about the WA state tax situation. You can't double tow in Oregon or Washington even though the truckers can pull doubles.
It will be warmer in the winter.

@TC. . hahahahahah! :) Will do!
Yeah, we will be selling the boat b4 the move and possibly upgrading the tow vehicle (we don't have mountain ranges to cross out here!!). Some of the locals out there were in shock to hear that we pull the boat behind the camper. Most out there do the pickup-bed camper and pull the boat.
From what I hear it's alot like Bismarck, ND minus the extreme cold weather. which i like to hear!
Looking forward to the change of scenery! Also, I won't be relocating until next June with the kids and plan to pull the 5er and family 'cross country!!! Kind of exciting in and of itself!!!!!!!!

The trip will be very educational, but don't let the kids know they're being educated.
