Tucumcari KOA - 09/13/09

This was a very nice, small CG located right off of I-40. Strangely enough the road noise was subdued so that wasn't a problem. The staff was friendly and helpful and check-in was smooth. Our site was long, wide and paved. The owners have had this KOA for 3 years and have made some good improvements. Like all of eastern NM, it's pretty dry, but they had a new pool, a gameroom, playground and they served dinner from the kitchen. All in all this would be a great place for an extended stay, if there was anything to do in Tucumcari, but a wonderful overnite stop all the same.
